Well, i went to mok up my alternator in my 62 with a heidts clip , it has the short water pump because of clearance issues , WHAT is everybody using for mounting brackets I really dont see how it is possible without using a long pump!!!

alt..bb..short pump...

get a 68 BB bracket..repop or original and that should do the trick. Alternator mounts on the drivers side on short waterpump cars. If you have an aftermarket intake there may be some massaging required.....let me know if you need photos and i will try to help.

I used a B&M low alternator mount with my BB & short pump.
