Hey guys,
My nova has a 350 450hp at the crank. With Dart Pro 1 heads .520/.544 cam, roller rockers ,etc. I have a griffin nascar aluminum radiator core size is 22 1/2 by 18. with a trans cooler mounted on the front. So I have to run a puller type. I want to run electric fans but I don't know if they are better than a mech. fan. Are they? Which brand ,size, and cfm would you guys recommend?? This is my daily driver and the weather in Hawaii is about 80-90 degrees. With the mech. fan my car gets up to about 190 in traffic and starts to climb. I just want to free up some ponies without my car overheating. Thanks guys

I would use a 2-speed Ford Taurus fan, lots of air flow, comes with a shroud and is pretty inexpensive. 190 degrees isn't very hot for an engine, most modern engines run much hotter than that. What water pump and drive system do you have?

I have a long water pump. Will that be an issue?? I hope not it sounds like a sweet fan. Should fit my radiator perfect.
