I am likely going to buy a new center section for my 9" and was wondering what would be an ideal gear to use with the 4 speed? I am never going to race the car and would like something that is good on the highway. Not sure what I have now I think 355's but not 100% they came with the rearend and the guy didn't know either. Thanks,

m21 with a 26 tall tire,no drag race takeoffs with the 220 first gear you can get by with 355 gears, keep in mind that 220 first gear is tall,373 gears will have a better takeoff but more rpm,s on the freeway its a tradeoff

If your engine is building lots of bottem end torque, you can get by with a 3.55 or 3.42, but it will be like a second gear launch with most other tranys.
