I am putting sub frame connectors on my 66 and they attach to the forward face of the front spring bushing bracket which is welded to the body. No big deal except the front of the bracket is bent around the bushing. It looks like it may have hit a curb and bent it back. I have tried to straighten the bracket but it is still pretty mangled.
I am working with the car on jack stands so there is limited ability to apply leverage to the heavy gauge metal bracket. Has anyone ran into similar problems and successfully straightened this bracket?
I would appreciate advice on how to straighten this bracket short of replacing it.
Thanks,
Keith C.
