Bench seats in a '72

I have a 1972 2 door and it is missing its front seat. I have a 1973 Nova 2 door front bench seat. Has anyone recovered a 73-74 front bench seat and put it in a 68-72 Nova? I am thinking of buying 72 foam and cover to do the job. Appreciate any information.
