Been looking for preformed seat foam for the split bench seat in my 63. Can't find any from the normal nova sources but have come across ones in Eckler's Chevelle catalog for 64-65, part number 606916.

Does anyone have a feel for how close these would be for a Chevy II application?

Just go to a fabric/upholstry shop and get some high density foam and cut it to fit. It really isnt difficult to mess with.

There is no such thing. From the factory the bench seat had burlap and cotton. So there is no "bench seat foam".

Besides if you use foam that is thicker then an inch, you'll be complaining that the seat covers don't fit. And that is because they are made to fit like factory (over thin cotton).

Since I didn't take the seats apart yet I wasn't aware that it was just burlap and cotton over the springs. Thanks for the info. I guess it will be a lot easier to rebuild them now.

Just ask for a "foam topper" they will know what this is at the textile company, good luck!
