Anyone run them fully loaded on the street and what is your experience with that? Is it OK to run them loaded on the street, meaning zero pre-load plus 3/4 to 1 full turn past zero?

One thing I'll say to add is these things flat out work!

I run them 3/4 preloaded with a full tank of fuel(race weight) and the only downside is by the time it is down to 1/4 tank the preload is gone and they make a little noise over bumps.

I run a full turn of pre-load on mine and it's a little rough; with 0 pre-load it rides like a Caddy!

No, the bars are adjustable as to how much force they put against the spring initially--you rotate the threaded rod until the bar contacts the leaf--then you count the flats of the hex nut to determine how much pre-load to add....1 flat, 2 flats...up to a maximum of 1 full turn (8 flats) of the hex.

I filed a few extras on mine! hehehe
I'll have to recheck mine one of these days, I think I have 6 on one side, and 8 on the other because it pulled to one side; you aren't supposed to go more than one full turn............oops!
On my next set I'm using decagons to get some more adjustment!
