stock 327, 200 HP out of a first gen camaro. air cleaner says 300 horse, :D all in due time. down the road im going to build either a 396 or 427 for it. but for now im happy with the small block.

Ran a 355 for 10 years, now installing a 461" with a T400. Will let you know the difference in the spring.

SBC. Standard .03" over. Edelbrock EFI. Decent HP. I like the lighter weight up front compared to a BB. But..... If I were to do it over, Id go with a BB. I really love BBs. Specially in a small car, mine is a 62. I just dont know if I could get it to handle like I like with the added weight.

But if I were to get a BB this is the one I would get. ZZ 572. 700hp, turn key. It has a nice line up of parts. And 14 grand isnt bad for what you get. Heck, Im into my SB for at least 7 grand.

I have a small block car, a big block car, and want a LS small block engine in the next one. Another member says it best that "one day ls engines will rule the world.":yes::yes::yes::yes::turn::turn:

I went from a 250 I6 to a 350 4bolt and now to a 454 BBC Tell you what for the cost a BBC is the feel in your seat in power difference for the money. MAN I love my 79 with the BBC in it and no one even comes close to guessing I have it in my car lol

Big blocks are so much more fun. Im upgrading from my 396 BBC to a built and balanced 454. Saving up for a blower this winter so hopefully next race season ill be running 10's or faster. :devil::yes:
