I have a 78 Nova and I am swapping in a 454 / th350 combo.
Anything unique to this swap compared to putting a big block in a 70 Nova?
Someone mentioned the front subframe is more like a 2nd gen Camaro than a 3rd Gen Nova.
Any help is much appreciated.

Yes, I believe a 4th gen Nova subframe is very similar to a 2nd gen Camaro. With that in mind, I would think you should be able to use BBC frame mounts from a early BBC Camaro to get the offset correct, if it is even necessary. There are others on the site that have put a BBC in a 4th gen that will be able to give you much better insight.

The 4th gen sub frames have the 1" offset built in. No special mounts will be needed to drop in a BB. You should notice on the trans crossmsmber the mount is offset to the pass side. Here are some photos I posted in another thread.
