I had just built a Pontiac 400 for my 1969 bird, and the built SBC 400 that was in it when i bought it needed a home, so on went me search for a new project.

I have been working on it for the last month or so and it is coming together.

Some background on the car, it was a straight 6, when i got it they had dropped in a 350, but i had bigger plans. I bought the car without the engine as the body was in great shape. Partial pans were installed done pretty well with proper pans. Rear is original front clip has seen some patching but is in good shape.

Interior was complete and dated but its nearly all there.

On to the project, the SBC is in, and the tranny should be in today (stock powerglide for now).

The wheels on it were those early 70's truck ralley's - YUK. so i got a set of 15 x 7 car ralleys.

So my question is Trim rings or not?

More to come.

More updates

Got the Shocks in, front springs in and now my tires dont rub.

Raised the car up a bit, previous owner had cut the springs.

Have a few more things to iron out like a stall converter and a front end alignment. Interior needs work too, but shes much closer to running.
