CAN ANYBODY GIVE ME SOME ADVISE WHY MY CAR POPS OUT THE EXHAUST WHEN THE RPMS ARE COMING DOWN.I HAVE A GM CRATE MOTOR THAT RUNS PEFERCT,NO PROBLEMS THERE. I'M THINKING ITS EITHER THE MUFFLERS OR JUST THE 3" INCH PIPES??? BACK PRESSURE??? THE MUFFLERS I THINK ARE FLOW MASTERS. AMERICAN THUNDER?? NOT SURE.
THE CAR SOUNDS GREAT BUT ITS DRIVING ME CRAZY WHEN I GET ON IT AND WHEN I LET OFF TO SHIFT IT WILL POP. I WILL SOON BE CHANGING THE MUFFLERS OVER TO SOMETHING BETTER.

I'd be sure the exhaust system isn't sucking in any air anywhere. Manifold or header gaskets bad or loose, cracks in the joints, or things like that. The unburned fuel in the exhaust needs air to burn to make it explode and pop inside the pipes. RM

exhaust

REAL McCOY, I KNOW MY HEADERS ARE LEAKING, TICKING BECAUSE THE PREV
OWNER DIDIN'T UPGRADE THE HEADERS WHEN HE PUT THE NEW MOTOR IN.
I HAVE A BRAND NEW SET OF HOOKER SUPER COMPS I NEED TO PUT ON.
THE NEW HOOKERS ARE 1 3/4 INCH FOR THE FAST BURN HEADS.
IT SOUNDS LIKE A BACK PRESSURE THING.I WILL BE PUTTING THE NEW HEADERS ON ASAP!

THANKS,

STEVE:D
