Hey guys I am new to the board. I have a 65 hardtop that I am planning on getting back halved this coming year. The problem is that I cant find any one that does it in my area. I have went out to Gainesville a couple of times but everyone that I talked to says that they have done it themselves and are not willing to do another. Also, is it best to have it media blasted before this gets done or after? Thanks in advance!

Its not to hard to do yourself if you can weld but it is very very time consuming.

Do any of your local dragstrips have message boards? That's where I'd start asking...or maybe the drag race section of this board. Or you could try posting at brackettech.com.

Thanks guys, after looking at a couple of write ups on-line I think that I am going to try to tackle this one myself. I can weld but only have a two car garage so it is going to be interesting with space being so limited. Plus it will be a whole lot cheaper! Thanks anyways!
