Ford 9", brand new axles that already have the bearing on them, only everything that i have read says the O ring supposed to go toward the axle flange and not the splines. Well these the o ring is toward the spline. Ok to run???

It's been a while since I've done one.
I think the O-ring seals the oil. If it's towards the splines then it will inhibit the bearing lubrication. I'd call one of the 9" axles specialists tech line like Currie to be sure.

depending on who made the bearings I've seen them designed both ways. You should still be running an inner seal ( 51098 ) for large bearing 9".

yeah i called strange today and they said they recommend it on the outside but it should be ok aslong as i have the locker ring which i do on the backside.
