I got the engine and tranny slid into my '73 in last week (355, Vortec, Voodoo, Headers, Summit racing TH350, 2500 stall), but the hole I hogged out for the B&M Pro Stick is almost completly blocked by the top of the trans. I am also running Moroso solid frame and motor mounts with an Energy Suspention trans mount.
Anyone come across this problem? And have a fix?

sounds like you mounted you shifter to far up the tranny tunnel..do you have a bench seat??

you you should have more clearance farther down the hump

Yes it does have the stock bench. You may be right, I'm 6'3", but I put the shifter far enough forward for my wife to be able to drive the car when it's done. I'll look at moving it back as far as I can, thanks.
