I'm looking at some wheels and for some reason that look of a 17 front and 18 rear appeals to me.

I am pretty sure they will fit because I have a 15x8 rear running 235/60-15 MT ET Street S/S tires and they come in at 26.1" overall
In the front I have a Chris Alston clip and no fenderwells at all, so I shouldn't have any rub issues lol, but its a 15x4.5 with a 155/80 15 tire (24.75" overall)

If I run an 18x8, I would be safe to run a 235/45 18 which would put me at 26.3" overall.
For the front 17x7, I have more choices but would probably do a 225/45 17 (putting me at just under 25" overall).

So, has anyone put this combo on their car? Pictures?

Are you mini tubed in the back ? Mines just too the frame rails and I have 255-45-17 on 17x8. I have 225-45-17 on 17x7 fronts, I have an older TCI clip.

No, not mini tubbed (yet).
I thought an 8" wide would fit because I have a 15x8" now. I thought as long as the overall height stays to 26" and width stays to 8" I'd be ok

I would think if the tires are basically the same dimensions and the rims are the same backspacing it should work ? I did run a set of 275-40-17 on the back but the rims aren’t really wide enough for those.
