What is the thread size on the stem of a clock? I want to make a clock knob for setting the clock on my 66.Or does someone have one they want to get rid of?

look on Ebay

There are clock knobs listed on ebay nearly all the time. They will probably be cheaper than that thread die.

yea right 'i have looked for a clock knob for a 74 and i can't find one anywhere
i tried to make and it didn't work as i plannned

Hey Nuts, I live in an area of Michigan that has many GM plants. One day at a garage sale, I bought a small bag of what looked like clock knobs. Upon further invertigation I realized they were not tapped.
(Now it is not uncommon for some UAW employee to mistakenly put small parts like this in his pocket and rediscover them when he arrives home)
I have been hanging on to these for 25 yrs and always wondered if they could be used. If you want to send me your mailing address, I will send you one to test tap and see if it works. [email protected]
