have a bigblock in their 1st /2nd Gen Nova 2 ? I'm getting hazed about doing this bigblock in the car.... by the older crowed about how no matter what bracing I do its going to twist the frame/body and how I'll never get the doors to shut again, bust the windshield ect..ect... I've planed on X boxing this new setup.. if you have a better way or already have a setup your advice/ insight on this would be appreciated.

It's not uncommon to us. I'll give you a link, but what I suggest is that you go to the top of the 1st & 2nd Generation forum, find the link on the right that says Search this Forum, then click Advanced search, then do a title search for 'block':

You should plan on weld on subframe connectors and a minimum 6 or 8 pt roll bar or cage. Not only for chassis strength but safety too. You will not twist the chassis and break the windshield as the other people told you. I have heard those stories too but my car is pretty fast and I have had no issues.

There are plenty of guys running high torque and hp motors with no issues. Sounds like your friends are just mad that your car is going to be faster. At the very least put sub frame connecters in, I even recommend them on a 6 cylinder car.
