Hey gang,

I have a 72 Nova - 6 cyl/ 2spd w/ front drums.
I have been offered a crate 350 out of a late 80's suburban w/ a
700r4 tranny. Will I have major problems putting this in?
My experience is mainly w/ Pontiac stuff, so Chevy is a new ballgame.

Also - any suggestions w/ doing a brake conversion? Any late GM cars
that swap over easily?

Thanks,

Greetings,

If I remembered rightly...Doesn't the 700R4 require a different crossmember?

Welcome aboard!

The frame mounts and tranny crossmember are correct inorder to get it going again. One other thing that needs to be looked into is your radiator, fan shroud.

Cool I got a Pontiac guy to talk to here. I'm putting a Pontiac 455 in my 72 Nova!

The nice thing about those late 80s engines is they are setup for a roller cam.
