Ok guys I have looked and studied wiring diagrams till im about go nuts. I wanted my car to be right so I ordered a new shunt resister and wired everything according to the factory diagram. The resister was gone and the gauge unhooked when I got the car. I put in a V8 and just lengthened the wires for the alternator and installed the resistor. Now My horns just wont stop. I even took the guts out of the steering wheel. I tried to run down the problem and cant find anything.
Please am I missing somthing? I dont know where to go from here. Did my car have a generator instead? Im at a loss right now. Thanks in advance for any info

maybe you have a stuck horn relay.

You do know the horns are activated by a negative (gound based) switch.
