Good post/repost. If I was in the market for a new toy I would be involved in the bidding. Thanks Dale :D

Still a cool car. That interior color scheme, or something very close to it, was used on '62 Impalas as well, and not only Anniversary Gold painted cars. I saw it on a pale yellow Impala that was supposed to have original paint and upholstery. Wish there was more history to the car, like dealer origin or things like that.

The X or SPEC paint coded cars are interesting. If paint were special ordered, what else was?

This car has a 4th week of November, 1961, body build date. The paint and trim listings in the GM Heritage Site info for 1962 Chevy IIs have no reference to anniversary gold paint/trim,even though these listings show updating in October, 1961, January, 1962 and April, 1962.

However, the GM Heritage Site April, 1962, update for the 1962 full size Chevrolet shows code 927 Anniversary Gold for the Impala series.
