AAW and MSD Installation

I just fired up my car after installing a new AAW kit and a brand new 6AL2, after some minor timing problems she fired up and ran great the only problem was I could not shut it off through the ignition switch. Any thoughts on what I may have done wrong?

I think they include in the instructions a diode to prevent the voltage from the GEN lamp causing a run-on like what you've got.

I read that but it seemed to be for a points set-up and I have a HEI. I will give it a shot.
