Wow, that is one gorgeous Acadian Canso Sport Deluxe and very rare. Only 274 V/8 SDs built in 1965.

very nice. some day i'll get a ride in one of those. i've liked them acadians ever since i saw the first one come across to michigan from canada.

Plus, last year at the "Route 66 Fun Run " -- 2019 . . . . SNS member "GerryLP"
had his -- " 427 Acadian " . . crusing with us , on Rt 66 .

Ok, I thought Acadians were not Pontiacs so why the poncho motor?

They're not Pontiacs, but many people want to believe they are. Some provinces in Canada registered them as Acadians and others as Pontiacs, which adds to the name confusion. I've talked to many people who are convinced they're Pontiacs, even though the Pontiac name was never used on them or to promote them. At the dealer level, they were clearly a separate car line, identified by dealership signs that said Pontiac-Buick- Acadian-Vauxhall-GMC trucks.
