I have the correct wheels for my 1970 SS Nova. They have been sand blasted and primed. I got the proper Dupont paint, black and argent. The You-Tube video shows them clear coating after painting. Is this necessary?
i re-painted a pair of ralley wheels agent silver last year. an i first did a test spray on a junk wheel with the argent silver an then sprayed the clear coat. well some thing was wronge with my clear coat spray as it boiled up the argent silver on the junk wheel. so i left the ralleys with just the argent silver with out a clear coat. they look great an i can wax them just the same. so i'll say test spray before you do the SS wheels. i never was a good painter. also i got the can of argent silver spray from eastwood.
