Hey guys-got a question. Does anyone know what car would have a 9" that will be the correct length for a 65 wagon? Dont care about leaf spring pads or anything. I have the correct 8 3/4 housing to bolt in it, but no center section or axles. I also have a complete strange 9" center section with spool and good gears, with no housing. Would rather use the 9" if there's a vehicle out there I can get a 9" out of.
Any help would be great!

Thanks!

The late 50's Ford sedans, Rancheros and wagons, the 76-80 Versailles/Monarch/Granadas, the 64-66 Mustangs to name a few.

When you say 8 3/4 do you mean a chevy 12 bolt housing?
If you are going with the 9', do you want to sell the 12 bolt?

Got mine out of a Bronco (57") Currie axles, Detroit Locker and Richmond 4.11 gears. Used 8x15 Weld ProStars w/5.5 in offset.:)

What do you guys think about newer ford 8.8's? Or is it 8.5?
Alot of my rock crawler friends swear by them and dana's. Plus it was kind of impressive to see a jeep sitting on 44's do smokey burnouts up and down the street using this ford rear. End to end they are 55 inches so I could squeeze a little more wheel/tire in there.
