Did GM make the 8.5 for the 1972 and up Novas with any mono perches, or were they all made for multi leafs ?

Yes, but only in 1972. According to the rear spring specifications listed in the vehicle information kits from The GM Heritage Center, all 1973 & newer Novas came from the factory with multi-leaf rear springs.

My 72 came with a 8.5/3.08 gears with mono springs and perches. Went to a 3 leaf spring with the mono perches with out having to use spacer blocks.

Mine's a 72 and was a 3.08 then I put some 4.11's in it. Mono perches with split monos and a spacer no rubber isolators and the spacer(Calvert's spacer) in with inside with the spring and my Caltrac plate gets pulled up tight.

Thanks everyone. Now that I know that factory made piece is out there, the hunt is on.
