Cant find this any where even in my Owners Manual. How much gear lube will I need to buy to fill my empty 8.5 10 bolt.

I know you need to fill till it runs out the fill hole but how much will I need to accomplish this.

I would guess about 5 gallons Actually I have always just bought 2 quart bottles and it seems like I had enough to fill a rear end. That's after I spilled about half a bottle on myself. Let me tell you the chicks love a guy that smells like 90W oil.

What really great is rolling around in a puddle of used gear lube. It gets really ground in deep. It works out great for when the girls are clawing at your back, a little extra lube never hurts.

Tell me about it... I don't even smell it anymore, That's the sad part... I can't smell much of anything anymore . The worst is the ford posi additive. If someone ever makes you real mad just get a bottle and squirt some inside their car. It will never go away. They do take aprox 2 quarts of 80-90 or 85-140 GL5 Hypoid Gear Oil.
