Was just curious why all of the aftermarket subframe/front-clip (Chris Alston, Smith Racecraft, Heidt's, TCI, etc) producers list them as 68'-72' only. Are there major differences in how they're built, or are they just not 'bolt-in'? I'm considering buying a 74 Nova and would like to know before I buy. Thanks for any help.

The only major differences between the 68-72 and 73&74 is where the front bumper mounts. I think you'd be able to make the aftermarket subframes work on your 73/74 with a little work.

The bumper mounts are different. Just have to drill new holes. The ends of the frames are the same otherwise. The engine mounts are also different on the 73 and 74 frames. Most of the aftermarket frames come with them, so you won't have to worry.
