I want to double check, will a rear folding seat from a 74 X-body work in a 76? I can't imagine GM made them different for fitment but I want to see what the more experienced people say (that's you guys).

I can only say "probably". The floor and trunk pan were changed in 1973 for the hatchback body style and they are almost identical to 1975-79 Novas. I should note: the folding seat will only fit hatchbacks, not sedans or coupes.

no it wont fit 75-79 hatch seats are wider. i had one in my 74 when i bought it and the guy bolted it to the wheel wells, i finally replaced it years later.
