Hello - I need some help with my current project. My dad and I are restoring a numbers matching 74 SS Hatchback. The car has a 4-speed (without console) and I can't find an upper shifter boot that matches the original boot which is in pretty tough shape.

I have bought every boot I can find used on similar GM models (Camaro, Chevelle, etc), but no luck so far.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Glen

Can you post a pic of the boot you have?

I had an original bench seat 4spd 73 and I remember that the boot and ring were unlike any I had seen on any other year Novas. Also, the tranny tunnel/shifter hump was different as was the clutch pedal. If I'm remembering right, the shift boot was not exactly rectangle, but had one side more narrow than the other.

Anyway, post a pic, we'll help.
