Is it possible to just cut out the entire rear tail light panel section and use the reproduction tail light panel from a 72 that Goodmark sells? I know I am going to have to relocate my fuel tank filler neck so it will be behind the bumper as well but just didn't know if this would work.

yea it'll work. Several guys on here have done it before. you might as well just buy a new gas tank if your going to do it and make it year correct for 68-72 so you dont have to do any alterations to the current tank or filler neck.

i just noticed in your avatar says SS...if its a genuine SS i wouldnt do it. I've already expressed my feelings in other threads about changing 73-74 novas into 68-72's but doing this to a genuine SS is no good IMO.

I've got a 73 Ventura and it was rotten around the pontiac tail lights. I used a 74 Nova rear panel and went straight in with on troubles, had to replace the tails lights to match and looks good.
