I have a 73 nova that has been basterdized (different drive train). The original switch for the backup lights was on the column and I believe it was originally a 3 on the tree. Right now there is a 4-speed saginaw transmission in it. Does anybody know how/where a backup light switch would be mounted for this transmission? Anybody know how the factory 4 speeds had their backup lights work?

73 has a rod that connects the column collar to the shifter. When the shifter is put into reverse it spins the collar which turns on the back up lights. Rod also acts as a reverse lock-out. Hope this helps.
