Hi Guys:

I am thinking about dropping a 5.3 Vortec that I have in place of the inline 6 in my 72 nova. I would appreciate some guidance about few questions that I have:
- Engine mounts? Is there a difference between L6 and V8 SBC engine mounts? There are LS engine mount adapters but they are all labeled for SBC not L6. Can I use late 70s clamshell SBC engine mounts?
- Is there any difference between I6 and V8 SBC cross members.
- Does a Camaro LS oil pan will clear the cross member?
- Any header recommendation with good clearance?

hey man , I'm just joking with ya .....
I was just looking today over at " BRP " web-site checking out the parts. And, looking at " CBR " site also.

I won't go "LS" .......... but, They Both have great parts --- that work !
I'm sticking with my SIX , and making IT WORK .....


(I was up to 20 -- almost 21 mpg with my new od tranny ..............and , now I'm down to 14.7 mpg ................... but,

just think ---- if I'd change my "rear gears" ).
