I'm not sure, but I think the slip yoke and the speedometer drive are different as well.

I bought a level 2 from Bow Tie Overdrives with their entire set up TV made EZ (about $2700) last May and just last week it took a dump. It’s making a loud winding noise. I took it back to Bow Tie yesterday. If they get back to me that it will be another $2k to fix it I’m going back to the more user friendly 3 speed.

Also, the OD is nice but I don’t really need it for my use. I drive my car to work 1-2 a week 20 miles each way. I would just have to regear it back to 3.08s

makes sense. I was wondering as I plan to start my swap from a TH350 to 700r4 this weekend. I got the Painless wiring kit and have the trans portion already installed.

If you have access to a welder, it'll be pretty easy to convert your 700R4 crossmember to a TH350. I did that in mine and it was basically welding in some plate to relocate the trans mount bolts. I re-used the trans mount too.

1st gear sure is going to be different with the TH-350 and 3.08s vs a 700-r4 and 3.73s. I put 3.73s in a 3rd gen Camaro with a wimpy 305 and 1st gear was actually fun. I suppose, however, if you have a traction issue it may actually help.
