Was changing out the old cables with new ones. Old one's were getting pretty hard to use. My question is, on the Vent/AC/Heater cable there is a spring and a little bell on one end. When I took the old cable off I noticed that the end with the spring could be slid back and forth just a little bit. The old one was tightened in the middle with a clamp bolt. I assume that was there to adjust something, anybody on here know why that is?
I tighten my new cable like the old one, in the middle. When I operate the cable it goes down pretty easy until I get almost to the bottom then it's a little hard to press all the way down.
