I am seeking out information regading theinterchange of the front grill / bumper assemblies on the 70 & 74 Nova. My son currently had just bought a 74 but he really likes the look of the 70 front and back end. Everything I have found says the front fenders are the same. can anyone shed some light on this as to what is needed to make this swap?

Run a search in the body and interior section, this comes up all the time.

Leave the the big bumpers on. The number of 73/74 's are getting smaller all the time. Besides the impact protection is real good :devil:

Great write up Paul, they should make that into a sticky in the body and interior as well as the 3rd gen forums. It's such a common question might save a lot of ppl headaches of searching and asking.

Thanks, I'm still building this as I get more info and it could actually go into a couple best of's, but the easiest way to keep it organized was here in 3rd gen. Keep it in mind for the future, if anyone needs info you can point them to this link. You'll get a book mark too, so as I need 73-74 help I'll call on you!:yes:

WOW! Nice build-up and documentation! I looked to give Rep. Points but I guess this site doesn't offer them. Good job.
My questions are: Did the hood patch support really need to be changed, and; will the '74 bumper fit with the '72 grille? [at least until I can afford a correct bumper.]

The latch support had to be changed because the 72 grille sits closer to the radiator,and the bumper because the grille sits lower.
