I've got a 69 Nova, and I used to have a 230 in it but I upgraded to a 350 and I just got it to run. However, On my 230 there was a steel bar that attached to the carburetor and went down to the trannie and I believe that helped with advancing the transmission when I steped on the gas. I went to go put that back in and realized it does not fit. So I was wondering if anybody knows what that piece is actually called and if they make one for a V8. If it helps I have a 350 with an Edelbrock Performer 750 cfm manual choke carburetor, Hooker Super Comp. Headers, and a 2 speed Powerglide transmission rebuilt for a 350. The engine is from a 1970 k10 pick up. Any help would be great.

That should be your kickdown linkage. Yes, I'm sure one is made for a V8, but I'm not all that familiar with Powerglides.
