Help, current pedal is mounted on the side from the tunnel with a small bracket that bends over way too easy and causes the pedal to go flat for lack of better words. Anyone have a pic. or can tell me how they normally mount? Under the dash, etc.? Can't find a pic. to show me how.

there is a plastic piece that mounts in the engine compartment with two screws. The shaft goes through a hole in the firewall and through the plastic mount. Here is an ebay link to the piece. My 69 firebird and my 73 nova use the same system so yours probably does too.

The plastic piece on my car that attaches to the firewall broke...you can get all the necessary parts from Goodmark.
