Would you say that the black color part of the foil is flat black or gloss?
68 nova 396 foil badge
Just bought a real nice passenger side 396 foil badge bezel off e-bay. It has a different number than the ones I have seen? Maybe a second design? The number on the back is 3920873 IMP.2 Or maybe someone put a 396 foil badge on another bezel? The one's I have seen Brent post had the part numbers 3921887 and 39211888. Any one have a driver side bezel they want to part with?

I have some 327 foil emblems that are pretty nice but faded a little and I thought I would try to make them look better. ( unless someone has some NOS 327 foils laying around)

The number on my 327 emblem is 3920873 for the drivers side, and it has a slight curve. I think the emblem started out straight and just conformed to the fender which is slightly curved.My car is a 4E built. I dont understand why the others cars got the embossed on the late cars and the novas still used the foil.

what was the build date on the car the 350 emblems came from? I see its a different part # Than mine.
My friend just called me and said he was looking thru my old stuff and found a set of NOS foil 327 emblems in a box!!!! Man was I happy! I vagley remember buying them several years ago. I just couldnt put the embossed ones on.

On Andy Meyer's 68 L-79 which is a 6A car it has the embosed 327, So at some point they stop using the foil inserts.

I havent talked to Andy in a while I will see if I can get in touch with him and ask him some questions. This car had been sitting for quite a while in someones driveway before it was sold, the old I am going to restore it someday story we have all heard. Heres how it looks new.

I had the bezels rechromed last week, ready for the new foil inserts. Now I am officially part of the 68 foil group!

Now is a good time to do them, my chroming guy is feeling the effects of the economic downturn. He did them pretty cheap, I will PM you my address and send them to me. Maybe when I grow up I can become part of the GPCL club also and be one of the big dogs!
