Hey I just got a '68 Chevy II and would like to rebuild the front end this weekend if possible. I have a kit but I don't want to start pulling the car apart unless I know the torque specs to put it back together.

The Chilton's is on the way, but in the mean time, can anyone point me to a thread or page where I can find the torque specs for the front suspension?

Thanks in advance,
Mike

The kit doesn't have any specs? If not, here's my rule of thumb...

Less than 5/8"= 1 arm tight.
5/8"-11/16" = 2 arms tight
3/4" and above= Pull on it until you fart.

Tie rods and ball joint torques are usually around 30 lbs, pitman arms and stuff are usually around 120lbs.
