67 Nova - Project "Re-Deuce"

Wanted to start a build thread on my 67 Nova. I had a 66 for my first car and traded it for a 68 Camaro. I still have the Camaro but I've wanted another 66-67 Chevy II for a while. I found this beauty and the plan is to build it up right with upgraded suspension, steering , brakes, etc. and make a nice driver. Here's what it looks like now. It came with new rear quarters, tail panel, inner outer side cowl panels, firewall and upper/lower cowl panels and some original doors and deck lid. The crappy frame and Dana 60 rear will be sold off and some Detroit Speed hardware will be taking its place.

Yeah, it doesn’t look like it from the bottom of the car, lol
Thank you all, I appreciate all the feedback! I’m excited to get to this point.
Build looks awesome as always.

Not a rush but any chance you could take a rough estimate of the distance from the center of rear wheel to lower rear fender lip? Im trying to dial in the rear suspension purchase for lowering my 66 and no one seems to know how far their product will lower my car from its current stock stance. Im on a stock mono leaf with 18's so rear is in need of lower, just not sure if 2" will cut it, of if I will need to go lower.

Keep up the great work/pics.
I’m sure you’ll be fine with the LS engine as I’ve seen the Entropy setup used multiple times with that combo. I needed about a 1/2” to make it work. Entropy suggested I lose the shroud and zip tie the fans directly to the fins which would net me the space needed but I’m not down with that. I didn’t spend all that money on their piece just to take off the part that stands to provide a benefit. I took the fans off the shroud and installed the radiator and I’ve got 2 1/4” of space for fans which would leave me enough room to service the serpentine belt if needed. There’s a few things about the setup I don’t like but we’ll see what I can do with it. If I can’t get it to do what I want, it’ll be in the classifieds and I’ll buy a PRC radiator.
Take a look at these fans. I had to do the same thing you did but I set my engine forward about 5/8". They are 2.25 inches deep.

Hey Sawmill, no problem…in the back, it looks like it’s 8.5” from the center of the wheel to the bottom of the wheel opening. I’ve got no idea how that correlates to what the stock height would be but hope it helps!

I used a single Spal 2800 cfm fan on both of my cars, 400sbc and an LS6. They have worked flawlessly.
