Greetings all you experts.

Here's my problem. Due to the extremely bad rust in the trunk I had to chop it out. I figured since I was doing it anyways I was going to replace the rear clip. I purchased the Chris Alston's canted type. I wanted back seats so I didn't go with the 4-Link..... I have to cut the belly pan now maybe 7-10" in front of the package tray support. While the car is just a shell I have wheeled supports on the front leaf spring holder but it needs to go.
I'm going to make a custom body cart for it but the question is has anybody ever used pinch welds on the rockers as support? I can figure out how to support it until I get the rear frame in and I don't need anymore damage.
Thanks

My car is just a shell but I have it supported by the pinch welds. I made a 2
' square tube frame with scaffolding wheels on it and welded it front and rear to the edge of the pinch weld. It is rock solid and will be easily removed.
