Hi, just finished rebuilding the carb and fired it up tonight. Seems to run ok, except when I give tad bit of gas, it seems to cut out. If I do it slowly it seems to take it okay. Just seems when there is a flood of gas it chokes.

I followed the measurement for the float etc.. i also purged the entire fuel system so no junk involved.

Thanks!

give it a minute

let it warm up a bit, mine did the same thing but after I let it warm up and slowly increased the rpms a few dozen times it went away.

OK, so I dropped the tank and cleaned it, replaced the sending unit, purged the lines, replaced the hoses, new in-line filter, and rebuilt the carb.

I get a flat spot when giving it gas off the low end but on the higher end it seems ok. Also, after it sits for a day, I have to prime it to get it going.

Any ideas? I will pull the carb apart and check the float and needle again. Perhaps it isnt worth messing with and just converting to the 2bbl?

thx
Nate
