Is the 250 I-6 in a '67 unique to a Nova like the v8 is? Will a, I'll call it, generic V8 flywheel, bellhousing and starter bolt up? Next, will an aftermarket scattershield, like lakewood, clear the trans tunnel without modification?

I run a 250 in my SS64 with the lakewood scattershield.And you have to use the stock clutch fork.The lakewood fork will not work.Also if your 250 does not have the
casted ball casting at the oil pan rail your Zbar will not mount. Not all 250s had this
casted onto the blocks.
