 After the car (66 Nova) sits for a week or so it takes alot, and I mean alot of cranking to get the fuel to the carb to start the car. If I pour some gas down the carb it starts right up and will start each morning like normal. The Nova has the stock V8 motor. Everything is stock but a late model alt. and HEI ignition.

Any Ideas?

After a period of not running your car the gasoline evaporates from the carb.

As long as you start it every other day you will be O.K.

I have the same problem if I don't start my car for a week.
