Biggest problem was motor mounts on front clip(made for v8), and the down pipe clearance. The motor came with a conversion harness which made it a whole lot easier to wire up.

Nice install.

Its always nice to see a conversion that breaks the mold of not using a SBC.

How does that v6 handle the weight of your wagon? I suspect it responds
about the same as it would in the original GN.

What are your future plans for this ride?

I runs out real good plenty of torque. Put together to pretty much be a cruiser and an occasional tire fryer. Plans have changed may add stock steelies and dog bowls for the stock look. May be power tour 2013 ride but it needs AC first(tx to carolinas for sure!!)

We put together the 80 Malibu with this setup and I fell in love! Don't get me wrong ls swaps are the thing but I always seem to like them just a little different. These little motors make for quite a good time. Good mileage and pulls harder then a ls1 . The best thing about the car is that the turbo screams(sounds like jet) when u jump on the throttle. People look at you when u pass them with the weirdest faces!

Does it pull harder than a turbo ls1?

V8 vs v6

The ls turbo will always run better stock to stock(stock motor with comparable turbo) more cubic inches,etc. Now the Malibu has a built motor big turbo will run mid 10's and leaves as soft as a feather(comes on like a freight train)

Very very Cool build! 2 questions, what kind of fuel milage does it produce, (driving legal) and what are those heater hoses off of with the neat bends please?

It gets around 20 on hwy the hoses are sold at your local oreillys auto parts store. I always just ask to go back and look at the hoses(radiator and heater hoses)
