Might go take a look at this Nova For Sale. No motor or tranny. The guys says the car is pretty much complete but not sure because the car is his sons who is in Florida and in trouble and who needs money quick.
He is asking $4200.00
I think that price, as well as the owner, is high.
Is anyone offering any advice/ price to offer him? The car looks straight from the pics but you never know when you get there.
I think he is selling the Monte too.

Well 4200 is definately a good number to get someone interested. I wonder why he painted part of the car? The original color looks like sandlewood tan. The shinny paint does not show any imperfections but now you have 2 coats or maybe more to deal with. To me that would just mean a lot more work for the money as opposed to having the original color showing. I would ask for a lot more photos of everything, enough to make you feel as if you were there. It looks like you have a long drive to get there!

The post car is also known as a sedan,it's where the doors have the metal cased windows having a post between the door glass and the quarter glass. They also are more of a car with more painted pieces and minus the chrome package.

I wouldn't even consider it for 4200.00 I'm so use to finding good cars for next to nothing (1st gens) I know 6 and 7's bring more but I still wouldn't pay it.

After having done alot of looking in the past 6 months untill I found my project. If you paid $4200 it better be a running driving car if its a post. $2000-$2500 is about the right price for one like that.

I paid $4600 for a 67 hard top with a running 283 and m21.

Well from a post car owner, the drivers qtr, looks dented, or its an image. The bezels are there and look good, along with the tail lights (400 bucks). The rear bumper looks pushed in, hmmm. If the interior is all intact, and there is no rust, looks like the rear filler panel (below the window) is not rusted out or the pillars, I would give 3k.

But that is if no rust had to be removed and replaced.

The car has hood pins, and that black 'paint' is likely primer. Does anyone notice that it appears to be wet? I used to love looking at my old primered Nova when it was raining because the car looked so much straighter than it was. Just a thought...

Yep Aron, your absolutley correct, that was the first thing that i seen was the car was wet when they took the pic. That told me they most likely are trying to make the car look better than it is and hoping someone would at least look at the car for inspection at there asking price.

Just my opinion,Bill
