I have converted my '66 column-shift column to a floor-shift style column and would like make remove the gap left from removing the gear indicator and make the dash interface a bit more appealing to the eye. As such, I'm looking for photos of the floor shift columns as installed in the car.

It appears that something like the following is needed. I realize that '66 to '67 might be a bit different, but I am willing to "cut 'n paste" to make something work.

Additionally, a diagram showing the correct order of installation for the upper column parts would be helpful in ensuring I reassembled it correctly.

what's you question?

That piece will work on either 66 or 67 is thats what you want to know? 67's had them wether or not it was a column/floor shift

as far as installation, just slip the top over the column. screw it to the bottom half, and screw that to the bottom of the dash

What do the '66 floor shift columns look like in the area where it mates up to the dash? Is it like that shown in the third photo with the red arrow (taken from a '67).

I've gathered that the part shown above was a '67 part. Did the '66 have a similar part, or was the part that is the shift bowl on a column shift shaped differently on the floor shift columns?

Basically a simple photo of a stock floor shift column in a '66 would likely answer my questions.
