A 1966 console without the SS holes is only found in an ACADIAN CANSO SD and is very scarce.

I had no clue about the originals having SS holes except for Acadians. I am fine with a repro top and/or original base. Basically I'm building a Nova 400 and I want an original style console to start with on a custom idea I have.

For anyone interested, Acadian consoles seem to have been built 3 different ways.

1) Smooth top, no holes
2) Top dimpled where the two holes would be but holes not drilled
3) Holes drilled but GM filled them with 2 rivets!

Pics of #1 and #3 are in this thread. Photobucket has frozen my account so no pics of a dimpled console, you'll just have to believe me!

Acadian console picture?

Has anyone got a picture of a genuine Acadian console, 65,66,67? In particular, I'd like to see the area where the SS emblem would be on a Nova console. Thanks
