I took my 4 Speed shifter apart today and glass bead blasted it. During the reassembly I inserted the shaft thru the body
and the shift arms but it hung up just over a 1/2" from being fully inserted. I can't get it out or in. I think there may be a
groove on the shaft that is causing the problem. If I knew where the groove was I could figure out which arm it is hanging up on. Anyone taken one apart that could tell me what the shaft looks like? A picture would really help.

It's Factory. I finally used a rawhide mallet to tap it in. I'm not sure what was causing it to hang up. I should have just cleaned it up and and put it back on the tranny without taking it apart. Oh well.
