Hello everyone I am wondering if anyone else out there has done a conversion from a one barrel carb to a four barrel carb. If so I was wondering what intake and carb set up I should use. I also would like to know how much this would cost. Thanks

Never done anything like that on a 6 cyl Chevy. Back in the day (as they say)I had a chevy 2 barrel on a VW bug with just a adpt .Why not trying auto parts store for a 1 to 2 adpt. & see how you car runs .A 4 barrel just might be to much fuel

You can get small 4bbl if you look. I have a 450 and I've seen 350 holleys pop up on CL from time to time.
There are a lot of prior post on upgrading from the 1bbl. I have a 500 cfm edelbrock on my inline 6.

I changed to a 390 Holley 4bbl on an offenhauser manifold and split exhaust headers from Landon's it's kinda spendy to do this
Carb was around 300 new manifold around 300 headers about 300

You can get a 1 to 2 bbl adapter and a webber 2 bbl from Landon's for a lot less
You should think about hei ignition also no points to mess with
Thanks for the help! I don't think i'll be switching the carb and intake on I dont feel like pissing away more money on the car. The main reason I wanted to do this was to squeeze as many mpgs out of it as i can, but it wont make a huge difference.
I made adaptor for my AMC from a 1 to a 2 barrel. The AMC has a 258 straight6
